The Chicco Walky Talky® is the first multi-lingual walker that entertains baby with the ABCs, colors, and common phrases in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Portuguese! The multilingual play tray is removable for play on or off the walker, and features fun tunes and colorful lights. The walker folds compactly for storage and offers 3 height adjustments. The removable and washable seat is padded for extra comfort when scooting around.

Disappointed in design and function

Disappointed in the design and function. It was bulky and my son, who breezes around in a different brand walker at my parents house, did not like using this walker at all. I’m sad i registered for this. We sold it at a consignment shop and got $20 for it. I have no purpose in keeping it. This is the second Chicco product I have and I’m disappointed in them both. I won’t purchase this brand again.

Disappointed in the design

This is a follow up to a previous review. I complained about the restriction in the operation of the casters. My husband modified it so that the back ones would spin freely. Now my granddaughter is having a great time and so are we. She has to fight turns due to not having swivels on the back, but at least it rolls.

Disappointed in Walker

I purchased this walker for my youngest granddaughter to enjoy when visiting. I find that the design of the casters prevent the child from the needed mobility required to be encouraged and have success in learning to walk. The child is prevented from freely turning and easy movement forward and backward. It is frustrating for both the child and the caregiver or family member.

Walking all around!

My daughter loves her walker. She cruises around, easy to maneuver and goes on carpet. Switching from the toy tray to the open tray is super easy. It is very light weight and folds flat really nice - I do wish it had a small lock to keep it folded for travel. While it does offer multiple languages for the toys to sign and talk in, there isn't much variety with what they say and sign. The fabric seat is easy to clean and the materials used for the entire walker are quality with good color (we got the purple/grey one). I also think the shape of this walker is perfect, being oval. It almost seems a little big, but she has an alternative walker (at Grandma's) that is more square and I think it's a little more difficult to maneuver than this one.

A Little Disappointed

The talky part of the walker was not what I anticipated. ABC, means just that A-B-C. That's all it says, not the alphabet. Each button repeats the same phases. It does not make sounds of the animals. The walky part seems to have a great safety feature but the assemble was a little frustrating, you have to have some muscle behind it to attach those safety bars, not as easy as installing the front wheels.

Sturdy and keeps him moving!

My 9 month old loves walking around in this. It’s sturdy and wide at the base. When my son tries to walk under the table the base keeps him from getting past the chairs where he’d bump his head. It glides around easily. He can maneuver around our downstairs. It folds up compactly which makes it nice when we travel. I like that the toy comes off the tray and he can eat a snack in it.

Cut and interactive but not for tall babies

I bought this when my son was 6 months old. Based on the instructions and his height, he started on the middle height of the walker. He loved the activity tray and being able to move around freely gave him some independence and mommy some cooking time. But just shy of 9 months old he has grown out of it. Its very disappointing because grandparents paid 90 bucks for an item that only lasted less than 3 months. I know Chicco isn't responsible for my child's rapid growth; however, would have been nice if this had a way to adjust the height for taller babies. Now I have to find another walker that accomidates his height and shell out more $$. Please chicco, work on making your walker more friendly for those tall babies.

Q: null Does this walker play more than the "one phrase" for each button? We love the different languages but we wish there was more of a variety in the sayings. We wondered if we failed setting it up and its still on factory mode or something...?

A: The activity tray on the Walky Talky can be removed putting your finger underneath a corner of the tray and pulling up on the activity tray.
