OneFit™ LX is equipped with an easy-adjust headrest system that adjusts with the harness, so by raising or lowering the headrest, the harness height will adjust accordingly. If your child is rear facing, the harness straps should be at or below their shoulders. If your child is forward-facing, the harness straps should be at or above their shoulders.
LeverLock® installation can be used when installing the OneFit™ LX in the forward-facing harness mode with the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt system. Learn more about LeverLock® Self-Tensioning Lock System.
The infant insert must be used for children between 4-11 lbs. Once your child is over 11 lbs., you must remove the infant insert.
OneFit™ LX is a convertible all-in-one car seat that stays in your vehicle at all times. It starts rear facing and once your child meets the height or weight requirements, you can then convert the OneFit™ to forward-facing mode. A KeyFit® infant car seat consists of two parts – a carrier and a stay-in-car base. Designed for easy portability, the carrier easily clicks in and out of the base and compatible Chicco strollers, without disturbing baby. KeyFit® infant car seats are rear-facing only.
Locate the bubble-level indicators on the side of the seat and make sure the bubble is between the lines for the appropriate mode of use for your child. To adjust the recline, squeeze the Recline Adjustment Handle on the front of the seat until the bubble level indicates the proper recline position based on the mode of use.
No, you must use either LATCH or the vehicle seat belt to install the car seat. However, the top tether should always be used when available (in forward-facing mode).
