Easiest to Install Correctly
NextFit® features a 9-position ReclineSure® leveling system and RideRight® bubble level-indicators to help achieve and verify proper angle in the vehicle seat. Premium LATCH connectors and a SuperCinch® force-multiplying tightener help achieve a secure installation with a fraction of the effort. (When it’s time to switch from rear-facing to forward-facing, the LATCH strap passes easily through the built-in slide path for proper repositioning.) NextFit® also has integrated belt lock-offs for alternate installation with the vehicle seat belt.
From Newborn through Preschool
NextFit® is built for growth with a removable infant insert and a six-position headrest. As the headrest is raised, the shoulder strap position also raises and widens to accommodate growing children without re-threading. The harness also features a one-pull tightener and removable, machine-washable shoulder pads.

Care and Maintenance:
Fabrics may be spot cleaned. Hand wash using mild soap and water, or machine washed in cold water on delicate cycle using mild detergent. Do not use bleach, hang to dry. For plastics, sponge clean using warm water and mild soap: towel dry.

A: The width of the Nextfit shoulder pads are not adjustable. They must be wide enough to fit over the width of the harness straps.

Q: Involved in a fender bender today. Car seat was occupied at time of wreck. No airbags deployed. Do I need to replace the car seat?

A: As stated in the product manual you must replace a Chicco car seat after any vehicle crash. We suggest that you contact your insurance company about replacement of your car seat.

Q: We are moving to the UK and we have this car seat already, is it compliant with their laws over there? I know it is gas approved for the flight as well.

A: Chicco car seats distributed in the USA are only approved for use in the USA. They are not approved for use in other countries.

Q: Please tell me how on earth I am expected to clean the straps of this nightmare car seat!! I’m at my wits end. It is impossible. “Spot cleaning with water” is NOT a suitable option for cleaning vomit from the straps. I feel so misled after buying this.

A: You may sponge clean the Nextfit harness straps using warm water and mild soap. Air dry. Do NOT machine wash.

A: The seat cover may be machine washed on delicate cycle using cold water, and a mild detergent. Hang to dry. You may view our video "Removing the Seat Padding " on the Product Video tab of our website. We do not recommend power washing the fabrics.

A: The Nextfit car seat has an 8 year life span. As long as the car seat is not expired, has not been in a vehicle crash, and is in properly functioning condition, you may continue to use the car seat.

Q: Does the rear facing bubble need to be all the way reclined for an infant? The seat is on recline 9 but the slope of my backseat is preventing a shallower recline angle.

Q: To continue to have the car seat rear facing after the child reaches 35 lbs, does it need to be installed using the seat belt?

A: The Latch system may only be used with a child up to 35lbs rear facing, or 40lbs forward facing in the Nextfit car seat. Once the child reaches 35lbs rear facing or 40 lbs forward facing, you must install the car seat using the seat belt.

Q: I see everywhere seat is rear facing up to 40 pounds but I cannot find the height restriction (just 49" for the seat in general). Can you please confirm the maximum height for rear-facing? My children will hit that well before they hit the weight limit.
