Easiest to Install
Two bubble level-indicators and the spring-loaded leveling foot help verify and achieve proper angle in the vehicle seat. The is also equipped with premium for easy attachment and removal from the lower anchors in the vehicle seat. The one-pull tightener applies force-multiplying technology for a secure fit with a fraction of the effort.
For installation with the vehicle seat belt, clear belt routing and integrated lock-offs make it easy to position, tighten and lock the belt into place.
Tailored for Comfort
The car seat carrier includes removable head and body support to accommodate newborns as small as 4 pounds. A with one-pull tightening helps keep baby secure and the carrier shell is lined with for improved impact protection.

The KeyFit® 30 is designed for infants between 4-30 pounds and up to 30 inches tall.
Compatibility
Compatible with all Chicco strollers (except Liteway Stroller).

Care and Maintenance

Best car seat ever

I received this car seat as a gift for my daughter almost 6 years ago. I will forever buy this brand of car seat especially the key fit. It doesn't take up much room it's easy to install. I just bought this one a couple of months ago because the one I bought for my daughter expired in December and I had my son in November. I was able to use the original purchase twice within a 5-year. It saved me a little bit of money until I was able to get this one.

I never received the item. It is an awesome car seat. It is very easy to use. We were in a car accident, and it protected the baby. We bought this as a replacement, but we never received the item. The delivery service reported that it was delivered. We suspect that it was stolen, but we have no proof.

Customer pays to return

Both the KeyFit Car Seat and Base are excellent. Unfortunately, Chicco's return policy (customer pays) on shipping is poor. The shipping cost to return an extra base was almost the same as the cost of the unit.

A: Chicco products that are distributed in the USA are only approved for use in the USA. They are not approved for use in other countries. Therefore, we do not ship outside the USA.

Q: Is the Keyfit 30 car seat base compatible with a Keyfit 35 car seat? And vice versa; is the Keyfit 35 base compatible with the Keyfit 30 car seat?

A: The KeyFit infant car seat base will only accept the KeyFit and KeyFit 30 infant car seats. It will not accept the KeyFit 35 or KeyFit Max infant car seats. The Chicco KeyFit 35 base will accept the KeyFit, KeyFit 30, and the KeyFit 35 infant car seats. The KeyFit Max infant car seat base will accept the KeyFit, KeyFit 30, KeyFit 35, and the KeyFit Max infant car seats.

A: The KeyFit 30 infant car seat base is only compatible with the KeyFit and KeyFit 30 infant car seats. The KeyFit 30 car seat is designed for infants between 4-30 pounds and up to 30 inches tall; whichever they reach first. Once a child outgrows an infant car seat they will transition to a convertible car seat. A convertible seat, like the Chicco NextFit, the Fit360 rotating car seat and the OneFit all-in-one, are designed to face rearward for young children and then forward for older children.

Q: Do you take the headrest out when the newborn insert is removed or does the headrest stay in?

A: The KeyFit 30 Car Seat newborn body insert must be removed once the child reaches 11lbs. You may continue to use the head insert. The head insert must be fastened in the slot above where the shoulder straps go through the back rest. It cannot be fastened in the same slot as the harness straps. Once the harness straps are in the upper most slot you must discontinue using the head insert. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this information.
