Product Recalls

Chicco takes seriously the responsibility for designing juvenile products that are intuitive and easy to use. Many of our products help ensure the safety of child occupants and/or complement efforts by caregivers to safely care for children. As with any product design process, there may be times when the wide spread use of a product brings to light design or manufacturing issues which need to be addressed. Chicco is committed to understanding and learning from consumer feedback on our products and we proactively undertake measures to improve based on what we learn. If we discover that a product recall is ever necessary, we cooperate with regulatory agencies in this process and fulfill our obligations to the consumers whose trust we depend upon.

MyFit® Zip Air Car Seat Recall
MyFit Zip Air car seat This recall involves only MyFit® Zip Air Car Seat model numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070 manufactured between September 2020 and August 2024.

Owner notifications will be sent out to consumers who have registered their MyFit® Zip Air Car Seat. Remedy kits will support lap only seat belt installation. If you have not yet registered your Chicco MyFit® Zip Air car seat on the website, we recommend doing so to be notified once additional recall information is available on our website: Registration Link.

You may continue to use your MyFit® Zip Air car seat in the following modes of installation.

  • Harness Mode:
    • Installed with Latches and Top Tether from 25 to 40lbs
    • Or
    • Installed with vehicle Lap- Shoulder Belt (and Top Tether when available) from 25 – 65lbs
  • Booster Mode
