Extremely Disappointed

I can’t believe I’m writing this review…I wanted to love this stroller so bad. I watched so many videos, read all of the reviews..I had it on my baby registry and several family members donated towards it. $700 is far out of my price range so I was extremely blessed and happy. After receiving this in the mail, I was so eager to put it together. Let me start with saying, putting this all together out of the box was not difficult. It was just a lot of clicking large pieces into place. Most of the stroller was already put together. It seems well made for the most part. The pieces aren’t flimsy at all and it doesn’t seem super delicate. Where my problem lies, is in the use of adding the car seat. This is not intuitive at all. Nothing about this car seat is intuitive. I watched so many videos and read the instructions that came with this. It seems like the seat is meant to just click straight in and click straight out. I’m not sure if it is a user error, a malfunction with the seat itself, or if it really is this hard. I can get the seat to “click in” however there isn’t necessarily a distinct “click” sound. Getting the car seat out is a whole other story. You’re meant to just unlock the seat and pull straight up. But when I squeeze the unlock piece and lift up, it will not come out. I have been trying for almost an hour. My hands and arms are sore and weak from pulling and squeezing, I’m covered in sweat. I’ve tried literally everything. I can only get it out when I remove the snack tray and pull a dozen times and shimmy it out. Am I doing this wrong? I have no idea. I finally decided to remove the stroller seat. This alone was a huge pain. It’s unhooking many things, and is in NO way intuitive. I have used many strollers in my old preschool and usually to remove a seat, you just need to press 2 buttons on each side and pull up. For a $700 stroller, there is no reason for it to be so many things to unsnap, unhook, and unthread. It would be one thing if this stroller was on the cheaper side, but it’s literally $700. I had to watch 2 videos just to understand how to remove it, I am hoping putting it back in will not be as difficult. After finally removing the seat, I thought this might make it easier to remove the car seat. Nope. After so many times, I did find it to be easier (and by easier I mean less wiggling around of the car seat) if I squeezed harder. And when I mean harder, I mean EXTREMELY hard. I had to squeeze the release latch SO hard to get the car seat out. My hand is so weak, it is even harder. I am extremely frustrated. For a $700 stroller, this stroller is not intuitive, nothing about it is easy. I don’t know if I am doing anything wrong, but if I am, it should not be this hard to understand. I’ve watched so many videos and I’m doing exactly everything right. I tried everything, tried keeping the stroller locked vs unlocked, making sure the seat is fully reclined. I don’t know what else to do. Maybe there’s something wrong with my actual car seat or stroller. But the release latch on the base of the car seat attaches and detaches just fine. So I have no idea what could be going wrong. I am just extremely disappointed in this stroller. Save your money and go for something else, or spend the same amount of money and get a stroller that is much easier to take apart and use the features.

Very Good Travel System for the Money

I will be giving this to my granddaughter as her baby shower gift next week. Seems to be made of good quality materia and has large storage compartment down below.. Love the rubber wheels. Stroller seems to push really well inside - not sure about outside yet. But think it should do better than most because of big rubber tires. I actually forgot to put the washer on one of the back wheels when putting together, and was not pleased with the cotter pin after I took apart and put back in. Was able to order a new set of cotter pins, washers, and hub caps for only $1, plus shipping - they came in less than a week. Now grand daugher will have some spare parts to go with stroller. Stroller is also very easy to fold and unfold. I can practically unfoid single handed - just make sure you hear a click when unfoilding. The car seat and base are definitely a 5 plus! The car seat comes out of and attaches to base very smoothly with no issues. I do have some issues when trying to remove the car seat from the stroller. It seems the more I practice though, the easier it gets. Also, found that it comes out easier with the stroller wheels locked. Sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries before i can get it to unlatch. I think is has to do with the way I tilt the seat when unlatching. I almost gave this item a 4 just because of this difficulty. Also, note that there is a little trick to getting the stroller seat to recline and go back up. You just have to give a little push forward, then hold latch and pull back or push forward. No issues with locking the stroller wheels. You can do it all with the foot pedal which locks both wheels simultaneously. Overall very good travel system for the money. I actually saved about $200 when I bought it.

Happy with this stroller

I had this travel set for a year now so. I think I can safely write this review after using the stroller a whole bunch of times. To get to the point, this stroller is awesome. The handling is good and easy to manuever, the huge storage space has served us well, I like its random features like the adjustable handlebar, the cup holders, and the how much the shade provides for my little one. It also looks super pretty. I think the only initial gripe I had was how heavy it was, but personally, my own baby weighed 25 lbs. before he was 9 months old, so at some point lifting this stroller was not a problem anymore lol. All in all, I have no regrets buying this travel set BUT I also paid 40% off for this via Buy Buy Baby (RIP). I'm honestly not sure if we would have purchased this without its major discount, but nonetheless, I still have nothing but good things to say about this stroller after using it for so long. Would definitely recommend.

I used Chicco with all 3 of my kids. Love them. I just wasn’t in love with this stroller. I do love the price for the travel system combo. The quality is nice, turns great, fabric is amazing but the only thing I don’t like is the fact that there is no leg rise. I mean it should have one considering when infant is big enough, they would obviously go straight into the stroller that came with the car seat. My 9 month old legs just dangles and looks so uncomfortable for her. Definitely don’t recommend this for smaller babies/toddlers where their legs don’t reach the foot rest.

It is worth paying a little more for the tires, the stroller is very smooth to drive and easy to assemble. The car seat is heavy and the seat belt is difficult to fasten with the baby seated. To keep the baby's head straight I had to buy an extra pillow

Totally recommend it

Regretful Purchase: Chicco's Poor Customer Service and Expensive Return Fees

Shopping for a car seat as a first-time mom has been exciting and important to me, but unfortunately, Chicco hasn’t made that experience as enjoyable as I had hoped. First, we purchased this travel system from the Chicco store through Amazon. My order was canceled twice, and on the third attempt, it processed, said it shipped, and charged us—but nothing was delivered. We had to go through Amazon’s customer service to get our money back, and once we did, we decided to purchase directly from the Chicco website. At this point, we hadn’t tried out the stroller in person because we couldn’t find a sample to test at a local retailer. Based solely on reviews, we made the purchase. Then one day, my husband and I were out shopping in a different area of our city and stumbled upon the Chicco Bravo Primo in person. Unfortunately, we didn’t love it as much in person and found the car seat heavier than expected for my build and way bigger and bulkier than we wanted (especially considering we have a very small car). The stroller we ordered through Chicco hadn’t arrived yet, but we assumed returning it would be no issue. Sadly, I was mistaken. Not only do they not refund the shipping costs (about $70) to get the stroller to you, but you also have to pay for the shipping to send it back to their warehouse, which is several HUNDRED dollars. Most return shipping options would cost us more than the stroller itself. I reached out to customer service via live chat to see if they could assist, but they were rude. I then spoke to a few people on the phone who were less than helpful, essentially telling me there was nothing they could do. I’m not one to leave reviews like this, but as a first-time mom on a budget, I feel a responsibility to let as many moms as possible know NOT to purchase through the Chicco website—and to beware of purchasing from them on Amazon as well. I am all about brand loyalty and a positive experience, so it’s disappointing to say how much I wish I’d never ordered through Chicco due to the lack of support they’ve offered.
